My Story
I graduated from James Madison University with a degree in International Business. From there I worked as a Project Manager designing office spaces in the Pentagon for several of our nation's prominent leaders including the Secretary of the Navy’s office.
I enjoyed the Big City Life, but my heart was in the Shenandoah Valley. In 2009, I moved back to the Harrisonburg area, got married, and started a family. We had three kids in three years and despite loving motherhood, I was very overwhelmed with daily household tasks and the volume of stuff in our home. I was stressed, anxious, and spent a ton of time just simply looking for things in the sea of clutter. I decided to make some changes and started studying different organization techniques and living a more minimalist lifestyle. Our house became lighter, more streamlined, easier to manage, and there is more open space for creativity and play.
Due to the complications of COVID life, my grandmother moved in with us and I took care of her during the last year of her life. That time with her was a gift and absolutely magical, but it did not come without its challenges. I understand the needs of taking care of elderly and the emotional toll it takes to process things after a loved one has passed.
I know first hand how difficult it is to keep the chaos under control (especially with small children), and I want to share my experience and knowledge with others to help them love their everyday spaces. No judgement, just solutions! Let’s help you reign in the crazy so you can enjoy your environment and have more time to do what you LOVE.
